Small frosted raku orb

oh look! another sphere. This is a baby one, the size of an egg. It's raku fired with a glaze called 'red bronze luster'. Supposed to be a burgundy sort of red with heavy copper metallics. If it doesn't get enough reduction (from the combustable materials) it stays a disappointing greenish. This one started to go but didn't quite go the distance. In this case I liked it.

It has a small star shaped opening on top. My idea was to put dried grass or wheat tops in it because I had planted some fancy varieties that year.
