beads - Ceramic sqaures

A sample of seven of the 58 square ceramic jewelry pieces I finished this month. Bead or charm size, about 1/2". Various dabs of black slip/overglaze were added after being coated with a shino glaze which should have turned a beautiful orange-y (like on my 'Warball" [link] sculpture). For some reason this load didn't have much reduction and there were some surprises. This was not a happy one. I was not pleased with the dull gray appearance so I added some hand colored accents and sealed them. The backs were spritzed with a raku stain that contains some metal oxides. Learned something there. Stoneware cone 10. Gas fired.
